What is a Sanctuary School?

Proposed policies on sanctuary school campuses include: not allowing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)agents onto campus without a warrant or not allowing any activities that disrupt students learning environment.

In the United States, a sanctuary city is a city that limits its cooperation with the federal government in order to foster positive relationships between undocumented immigrants and law enforcement by adopting sanctuary policies. Currently, there are 35 sanctuary cities and 19 sanctuary counties counties in the state of California.
